Story

Our Skagway shirt is part of our new collection of washed casual shirts, and is cut from a super soft and thick navy twill fabric from Italian mill Tessitura Monti. The wash is a special environmentally-friendly garment finish given for a softer, more wearable feel. The Skagway has a rounded cuff, small point collar and a single breast pocket with a pen holder. The body length of this shirt is cut shorter and designed to be worn untucked. It also features a few subtle details - contrast sleeve placket bindings (charcoal) and gold button-hole thread on the last button-hole.

Fabric

is a particular variety that is grown in only a few other places. It is renowned as some of the best in the world. It has an extra long staple, which means it has longer fibers, resulting in a silkier, more durable fabric. Twill fabrics have a weft thread that runs over and under multiple warp threads (as opposed to a plain weave where the weft crosses a single warp thread at a time). This can create interesting patterns like a herringbone, houndstooth or a simple, diagonal rib. Twills are very durable fabrics that have a softer hand feel than poplins and a bit more sheen.
